Sucker Punch.

If anyone ever doubted that I didn't have the absolute worst luck ever...after I tell you this, you will FINALLY believe me. I lost my job today. BOSS:"It is your probationary period, I don't have to disclose why I'm letting you go, I just am. Let's just say that I think you just aren't a good fit for us, and I made a mistake in hiring you. Sorry...I'll take you to your desk to pack your things." ME: Deer in headlights...mouth agape...forming tears. Seriously...I asked and asked again if I had done anything...anything at all to bring this on. HAD I screwed up an order? Did I say something to someone? Did I rub someone the wrong way? What could I have possibly done? BOSS: "By law I don't HAVE to tell you, and you can ask all of the questions you want, and I'm still NOT going to tell you, now if you don't mind we are busy and I have to get back to work...I'll follow you to your desk." I was in early everyday... I actually got th...

Update.

Just a quick update... Started the new job and I do actually like it. But. I am stressed out, bigtime. I need latchkey care for my kid when school starts...(the week after next) And his school latchkey is full...and I need like $200 upfront to put him in Washington Park District Latchkey. (Child Care Connection will NOT pay upfront -but they will help me... eventually after all the red tape/paperwork is done...which could take weeks) (which I am nowhere near having as I am sure you all know by now) My dad can't pick him up/take him. (He officially has no car now) My bro can't. ( He has to be home to get his own kids off the bus at the same time my kid gets out of school) Friends can't. (I have exhausted what little resources I have here) I am not sure what is going to happen at this point...and I am really, really worried. I have one week to figure it out or I have to quit my new job with cherry benefits and good money. You see? My karma is just horrible. So...pray for me ...

Adventures In Dateland....revisited.

About two years ago I began posting about my adventures in dateland (directly before I found Doug) and now I find myself in the same boat once again. Boldly and Blindly going where many singelton women have gone before. And although I am not truly ready to be dating anyone else, I figure I gotta be doing something , right? When Bubba is with his father on the weekends, it is just too hard for me to sit around and do nothing. Even though I could go out and get drunk, see bands, and party my little head off- I don't, because I don't choose to. Quite frankly...it's trite and boring, and I look ridiculous trying to hang with the 20-somethings. So just a recap of the chosen 3 that have dared to ride the wild and crazy (literally and metaphorically) ride that is Jadedgirl... Adventures in Dateland...revisited. (Oy Vey) The first to come on board was Joe. I talked about Joe before...if you have been following my wallowing (he he...I love it when I rhyme on accident) Anyway... Joe ...

WEIRD.

Ok...anyone who has been following my recent drama (which I hope that most of you haven't) will know why this particular postcard from postsecret is so absolutely bizarre and weird. I SWEAR that I did not post this. Holy shit. PS... I am apparently an unpopular blogger. No big shock. Later- Jaded
