Sorry, friends...

Sorry I couldn't make it to the blogger bash last night, all... Cory called me and I explained that I have an algebra test tommorrow...so I had to study, and I didn't have the gas cash to get out to Grand Prarie. I wanted to be there, honestly. Next time...I promise. :o) -Jaded

If Music Be The Food of Love...Play On... (Playa)

In the true spirit of Valentines Day, knowing in my heart of hearts that it is probably the most commercialized holiday outside of Christmas, I have decided in true un-jaded style to celebrate it this year. The shame...the shame... I know. But in my defense I have decided to go about it un-commercially, and in my own creative way. I want to celebrate my love for my guy, but I don't feel like I should have to go out and spend $85. on a bouquet of roses, or some kind of expensive trinket in the same spirit. Doug and I will probably go out and have a nice dinner, and nothing more... Well, there will be more later at home, but...I digress. So, in celebration of the real meaning of the holiday that most of us still have to drag our butts out of bed and go to work for, I have decided to make this a post of the 25 greatest love songs of all time. Actually this will be one of a three-part series of songs. The first being, obviously the love songs, the second...the funniest songs, and the t...

The Rules of The Game...

So...ok...first of all I have finally found it "safe" to change my blog name back to it's original. I did the "Pretty In Pink" thing temporarily, lest the blog stalker find me here. Obviously, she has decided to quit fighting her losing and pathetic battle and move on to find someone else to steal from. I digress... So, My blog is back to it's original purpose, theme, content, and title. HORRAY. Today I want to go back to a kind of follow up edition to my post about "The Rules" I won't say much more about that rag...but I will speak about another one I found. Apparently there is a male equivalent to the rules...called (and this is SO original...) "The Rules of the Game." UGHHH...here we go again. I stumbled across it on Myspace. Apparently the author's name is Neil Strauss and he learned his "technique" from being rejected, and WHAMMO...he had a revelation! If you wanna check out the link, here it is...see f...

Stop and Stare...

Talk about a song that directly applies to my life...wow. Seriously, if this doesn't correctly affrim my angst...I don't know what will. Enjoy... Stop and Stare words and lyrics by: One Republic This town is colder now, I think it’s sick of us It’s time to make our move, I’m shakin off the rust I’ve got my heart set on anywhere but here I’m staring down myself, counting up the years Steady hands, just take the wheel…And every glance is killing me Time to make one last appeal… for the life I lead Stop and stare I think I’m moving but I go nowhere Yeah I know that everyone gets scared But I’ve become what I can’t be, oh Stop and stare You start to wonder why you’re ‘here’ not there And you’d give anything to get what’s fair But fair ain’t what you really need Oh, can u see what I see They’re tryin to come back, all my senses push Un-tie the weight bags, I never thought I could… Steady feet, don’t fail me now Gonna run till you can’t walk But something pulls my focus out And I’m s...

Higher Power...

Just thought I would share a little sum-sum with you... Tommorrow is my first day back to school. My LAST semester before graduating in May. -Barring no unforseen trouble with Algebra...to which I am pertified to take, and have been all of my student career. I SUCK at algebra. I can add a tip percentage in my head in 0.2 seconds...but I simply have not grasped the concept of adding a+b. Ughhh. I am going to do it though...I am going to strive for a final grade of B...but will most assuredly settle for a C if I have to. My cousin once told me, "Hey...don't sweat it...C's get degrees!" I am counting on it... ;o) Wish me luck ya'll- cause this degree...even though it is only an associates- is the biggest accomplishment (aside from my precocious son) in my entire 36 years. I get emotional just thinking about it, considering that I have been attending ICC on and off since 1991. Yes...I'm laughing about it too. I am on the 17 year plan it seems. 17 years...a long ...

VOTE!!!!!

This is a cool thing...if you are undecided on your vote, or you are waffling on who you originally supported in this election, this site has a cool calculator. Try it and get back to me if you got the results you wanted...or even if you didn't. (You dont have to post who you are voting for...thats kinda private, I understand, but I want to test the ting to see if it's consistent) So leave me a comment and let me know if it was on the money for you as well! Have fun! :o) http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html Hugs- Jaded

Not That Girl...

So I have been watching this marathon of wedding-based movies all day today on TBS. And maybe I shouldn't be. Mostly because all at once I love them, and get terribly depressed at the end of them. What exactly is it that depresses me? Let's analyze, shall we? It isn't so much about the marriage part as it is the love, I guess. I grew up thinking that marriage is something that happens to everyone...no matter what. In my sheltered childhood exsistence I guess it never occured to me that some people in the world do NOT get married at all. Some choose it- Some wait too long- and some just weren't meant to find their soulmate (if there is such a thing) My whole marriage fantasy was never about the big party, the head over heels giddy love, the pomp, or anything like that. My marriage fantasy has always, and I mean this...always been about knowing that there is someone out there that "gets" you. There is someone out there that loves you so deeply that they are w...

Cotton Conundrum... (Or The Case Of The Dissapearing T-Shirts...)

I have to admit something. I am a theif. NOT a theif of words, as some other bloggers out there would have you believe, but I am a theif. Now before you all get the mental picture of me pulling a Winona Ryder...I'll explain. I am a theif of clothes- boyfriends clothes to be exact, current and ex alike. I will loot a man's drawers faster than a free-range chicken in Ethiopia. I admit it...I LOVE wearing my boyfriends clothes. Cory will attest to this as I "borrowed" a hoodie that I never returned...although to clarify, that wasn't purposeful. I knew he loved that hoodie, but when we broke up I packed it away in a box and put it in my basement...in which a friend field mouse took the liberty of dining on. Needless to say, it was ruined. I felt bad...still do. Anyway... I don't know what it is about a guys comfortable clothes that make me weak. Lately I have been in crazy love with Doug's white T-shirts. Just plain Fruit of the Loom T-Shirts. No...
