Leather and Nylon Part 3...

Holy cow! Last night's Tarheel Victory over the Louisville Cardinals was a close one. I swear, I broke out in hives while watching. Scary stuff man. Humbling. But all good now...my boys are still in it and on the way to The Final Four, baby! UCLA of course, victorious over Xavier...but there was some panic there as well through the game. Freshman Kevin Love led the team to a fresh victory...and off they go to San Antonio as with my boys. Today's games should be interesting... I fully expect the Cinderella boys in Davidson to put the screws to Kansas. Not that Davidson was all that good in the regular season...consistently. BUT they are playing extraordinary ball in this tourney. As a matter of fact, I'll even go as far as to say that they will be a threat to North Carolina after today. And Memphis...who I picked to win the whole thing in my brackets... (BAD Tarheel fan, I know) will not win afterall. I am not even sure that they will get past Texas today. I misjudged them o...

The "Journey" is over...

Ok...is anyone else a fan of the arena rock band Journey? I am...big time. I have always loved their power ballads, and vocalist Steve Perry until this very moment has been unmatched as one of the best singers I have ever heard. (Barring, of course, Geoff Tate from Queensryche and of course the phenomenal Robert Plant) My best friend just sent me this link to take a look at knowing my penchant for the drippy, sentimental 80's fluff that Journey got huge off of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HjcCzgCCX0&feature=related And when you are done looking at that...check out what happened next at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nnNji6s3ck&feature=related Have any of you seen the movie Rockstar with Mark Wahlberg? Well this is the true story... What a TRIP! What does everyone think????? Hope everyone is having a great week...more leather and nylon updates this weekend. One love- Jaded

Leather and Nylon Part 2...

My babies in the blue are just the shizzle!!!!! First game won by 30+ points, and again tonight beating Arizona by 30 points...AND scoring OVER 100 points in both games. Un-Freakin-Believeable! nd alas....Poor poor Duke. Victims of their own bad ball playing succumbed to West Virginia. Just goes to show ya, you CANNOT win a basketball game on 3 point shooters alone. SIGH. I'm bummed for my brackets being killed on that choice (I should've known better, honestly) BUT wonderfully elated that all those completely obnoxious Duke fans went home shedding a tear. Don't get me wrong...Duke has a great program, and some class players have come out of there, AND Coach K is a great guy, and a VERY skilled coach. BUT the fans and students at Duke are the most retarted, obnoxious, stunningly annoying group of people to walk the planet. (WHEW...Now that I have THAT off my chest) Oh and one more thing...I didn't cry much when Ohio State didn't get a bid to the the dance this year...

Leather and Nylon...

How about those games yesterday???? No surprises really...only The Duke/Belmont game. The Dukies better step it up or they won't make it past the 2nd round. Basically, they embarassed themselves by letting it get that close. It was a great game to watch seeing as I am a HUGE North Carolina fan, but I have Duke going to the Elite 8 on my brackets...so I was torn. I was hoping George Mason could put Notre Dame down, but that game was pathetic. And WTF with Kansas State beating USC???? So...just waiting for todays games to begin. My boys play tonite. GO HEELS! I LOVE MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last thought- "There are really only two plays: Romeo and Juliet, and put the darn ball in the basket..." - Abe Lemons Adding March to my list of madness- Jadedgirl

GRRRRRR.....

Portrait of my day behind the wheel...I have no tolerance for assclowns who cannot drive. Nuff said. :o(

Part 3 In 3-D

As promised, (last month, I think?) Another (and the last) list post... I am on spring break from school this week, and figured that I should tackle this monster while I still have time to do so, because after the break...I'm on the books steady til May. Now... As we have already hit the 25 best love songs, and then the 25 funniest songs, now...the crappiest or the 25 absolute worst songs of all time. Now...if I happen to offend anyone with my choices, please keep in mind, this is only one persons opinion, and in my defense, I think that many, many people would agree with me on most of these anyway. So...with no further ado, The 25 WORST songs ever recorded in the history of man. 1. In-A-Gada-Da-Vida- Iron Butterfly Apparently the singer for Iron Butterfly was so wasted when recording this psychedelic trip-worthy song he couldn't even pronounce the title to it correctly and it stuck. The correct lyric for the title is: "In the garden of Eden, baby..." Anyway, besides ...

Becoming...

This last weekend Doug closed on his new house. This is the story... I went over to his apartment on Friday, from there we stopped and got chinese takeout and went to the new place to tape off the trim and baseboards for painting the next day. First let me say this: I love the house. It is small, and quaint, and perfect for him. The medium sized yard is nice, perfect size with a concrete slab for grilling and patio furniture. It is fenced in as well...a great place for his daughter to play. The kitchen has dated cabinetry and hardware, but there are mounds of cabinet and counter space. The living room has great ambient light because of a fabulous picture window. The bedrooms are smallish, but big enough for queen sized beds and to still have some room to maneuver. Putting it plain: I love the house. It is pretty much exactly what I would like to have someday on my own. I was madly jealous, yet extremely excited and happy for him all weekend thinking of the many possibilities this cozy ...

Going Public...

As I believe that the drama has now faded. And I trust that a certain psycho stalker (and her cult-like chanting followers) from another state are now grown up and stopping the nonsense, I have decided to once again take my blog public. Hopefully there will be no more craziness. But, erring on the side of caution I will only ask this: If you stumble upon me, OR you check out my link from another bloggers blog...please send me an email requesting to be added to my readers list, just in case I have to go back to the cloak and dagger B.S. again because of weirdos with nothing better to do from another state. I would be happy to add you... And that way if I have to go private again, you will still be able to read if I do. And anyone who would like to link me from their place, please feel free. Again, one last comment to the crazy people: The next time this happens, I will NOT be kind, and I will sick my 7 foot tall bad ass Lawyer named "Meat" all over your weenie ass. You have be...
