OH COME ON, ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME???????

ATTENTION MORTON MALAISE! PLEASE SEE THIS POST BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO START SPOUTING ANYMORE ON DISTRICT 150: Organized Clutter...: We Interrupt My Love Life To Bring You This Just In: What would you know about it????? You have never lived in Peoria. You did NOT attend District 150 schools. Nor will you ever pay taxes to that district because YOU RESIDE IN MORTON. As intelligent as you are, I really assumed better from you. This has nothing to do with race, either. It's all about money. Peoria High is NOT a shithole (although I cannot be sure if you were talking about Central or Woodruff in that particular statement) But if you were eluding to Peoria High, I suggest a tour of the grounds since you are such a concerned citizen. The building is grand and architecturally important. It is a beautifully crafted fortress that stands right in the very heart of Peoria. My father attended PHS along with me and we both agreed (before he passed) that closing and merging the two schools would be...

ANYONE???????

I just wanna know out of curiousity sake, and because If I don't get responses...I'm seriously considering leaving the blog world. (Some will be happy about this, I know) But... Who is still reading me? Anyone... Anyone??? Ok, well I need comments to let me know. So, if you are still out there, reading...appreciating...or hating (whichever) let me know. Otherwise...I'm cutting off OC and starting somehweres new with a new pseudonym and hopefully people who still give a crap if I am writing. That is all. -Jaded

Manic Musical Monday

Great song... One of my favorite bands, and has been since they released their first album. Enjoy. Gravity By: Coldplay Baby, It's been a long time coming, Such a long, long time. And I can't stop running, Such a long, long time. Can you hear my heart beating? Can you hear that sound? Cause I can't help thinking And I won't stop now And then I looked up at the sun and I could see Oh, the way that gravity pulls on you and me, And then I looked up at the sky and saw the sun, And the way that gravity pushes on everyone, On everyone. Baby, When your wheels stop turning And you feel let down And it seems like troubles Have come all around I can hear your heart beating, I can hear that sound, And I can't help thinking. And I won't look now. And then I looked up at the sun and I could see Oh, the way that gravity pulls on you and me, And then I looked up at the sky and saw the sun And the way that gravity pushes on everyone On everyone On everyone Pulling me...to somet...

Musical Manic Thursday??????

Yep. I am deviating from the norm and posting another song this week. The reason is- that I found an old CD in my closet that I LOVE and had forgotten all about. I used to listen to said CD like it was goin out of style back in my- I- hate- everyone-angry-man hating- phase... some years ago. A friend of mine suggested I get off the Alanis Morisette jag and try someone else, with a little less hate and a little more poetry. And so...the demise of Western Civilization did then transpire. So...here's one of my all time favorite songs. Enjoy. Not a Pretty Girl-Ani DiFranco I am not a pretty girl That is not what I do I ain't no damsel in distess And I don't need to be rescued So put me down jerk Maybe you'd prefer a maiden fair? Isn't there a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere? I am not an angry girl But it seems like I've got everyone fooled Every time I say something they find hard to hear They chalk it up to my anger...And never to their own fear And imagine you...

Bitching 101

Pardon me ahead of time if this post is lacking something...like say for instance........a point. I always wish I could put my feelings here in a sort of story forum. Sometimes I can, and other times...the creativity is lacking, so you get raw emotion, or even choppy patterns of thought. And sometimes, on a good day, or a REALLY bad day, you get the story form. Today will probably be a mix...my creative sun (much like the weather here in Illinois) keeps ducking behind the clouds, and has been for awhile. So, ok ...what I think I am going to do is post my random gripes and thoughts. (Yeah...real original, I know...) But...(sigh) I have so many of them. And I MUST get them off my chest, or I will explode. Gripe/thought #1 I loathe losing friends. It angers me BIGTIME when people just walk away from you, with absolutely NO explanation, whatsoever. They just don't have the "wherewithal" (UGH...pretentious word) to "Speak on it." Anyway...I'll shut up about that...

Musical Manic Monday...

Musical Manic Monday. Running Away- By: Hoobastank I don't want you to give it all up And leave your own life collecting dust And I don't want you to feel sorry for me You never gave us a chance to be And I don't need you to be by my side To tell me that everything's alright I just wanted you to tell me the truth You know I'd do that for you . So why are you running away? Why are you running away? Cause I did enough to show you that I Was willing to give and sacrifice And I was the one who was lifting you up When you thought your life had had enough And when I get close, you turn away There's nothing that I can do or say So now I need you to tell me the truth You know I'd do that for you So why are you running away? Why are you running away? Is it me, is it you Nothing that I can do To make you change your mind Is it me, is it you Nothing that I can do Is it a waste of time? Is it me, is it you Nothing that I can do To make you change your mind So why are yo...

Especially On Holidays...

Here’s the thing. Another holiday…another sad state of affairs. I hate being alone on holidays…it’s just depressing. Not because I am a huge celebrator of the religious holidays, per se. Mostly because of the family surroundings and the togetherness. The safety of it all. The feeling of home. I don’t have that, at least I haven’t since Doug and I broke up. And now especially since my dad is gone, I feel very alone in the world. Bubba is gone Sunday, still…spring break has been spent with the step mom due to her being laid off presently, and my needing to work, and not wanting to pay full-day daycare for a solid week. They go to church and have the big Easter dinner- all the frilly pink dresses and silly hats included. Logan will probably ruin the suit I just bought him for his pa pa’s memorial by rolling around in the grass looking for eggs and stuffing himself with candy and Virginia baked ham. And I will be sitting home alone…as per usual for every holiday. Holidays are the hardest f...

Manic Musical Tuesday?

With my boys winning their 5th national tournament last night, as predicted...I had to push Manic Musical Monday back to Tuesday, so as promised... A good old nugget from the 70's. A great song and an underrated band, by far. This would be a great addition to any wedding soundtrack. Oh and...ladies? Wouldn't this song be wonderful dedicated to you? (sigh) Enjoy... I Love You-Climax Blues Band When I was younger man I hadn't a care Foolin' around, hitting the town, growing my hair You came along and stole my heart when you entered my life Ooh babe you got what it takes so I made you my wife Since then I never looked back It's almost like living a dream And ooh I love you You came along from far away and found me here I was playin' around, feeling down, hittin' the beer You picked me up from off the floor and gave me a smile You said you're much too young, your life ain't begun, let's walk for awhile And as my head was spinnin' 'round I g...

Not Your Average Monday...

No Manic Musical Monday today... I will post tommorrow. Today is for celebration as I watch my boys win another NCAA championship. GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last thought- "This is the second most exciting indoor sport, and the other one shouldn't have spectators..." ~Dick Vitale Spectating- Jaded
Ah...another delving into the mind of a Jadedgirl . They say write about what you know...and so this blog tends towards one of two topics usually...music, or sex. Today's topic... (sorry to disappoint , Jack...) Music. The 80's...the "me" decade. The hedonistic , full out Sunset-Strip lifestyle. The hair, the makeup, the (shudder) shoulder pads. The decade of decadence... The end of punk, and arena rock, the beginning of synthesized, electric drum, catchy bubblegum. The 80's hair bands aside (and saved for another time), I have decided to post another list. 80's One Hit Wonders. Yes...before anyone implies or asks, I AM a teenager of the 80's AND yes...I did steal the idea from VH 1. But, in my defense, I was so into the idea of the list...I have developed my own, apart from VH 1. So, with no further ado... MY top 20 One Hit Wonders of the 80's. (In no particular order...I refuse to pick a favorite, because they are ALL great songs.) 1.) Re...

T.G.I. Friday Fragments.

Friday Fragments... 1.) I am dissapointed in another blogger whom I believed to be an intelligent person. They apparently aren't, and it just goes to show ya...you never really know a person, or can judge their TRUE intelligence by what they write in a blog. 2.) I love my job...but have had a frustrating day thus far. 3.) Bubba's birthday was yesterday, and I have to admit that I am a little uneasy about it. He turned 8. It just seems like time is slipping away so quickly. 4.) I LOVE hummus...big time. (Not to be confused with humm-ers...which I like too. LOL) 5.) Yep...still in love...still going nowhere in that arena. UGH. 6.) I got to know someone a little better this week and found him to be a pretty cool guy. We had a good time having drinks. (Don't get your panties in a bunch, people...he's happily married.) 7.) I have a real problem with people who are judgemental, and run their mouths, and have absolutely NO idea what they are getting into when they involve me i...
